AKXéO

AKXéO is a video extract of the piece AKX, which blends contemporary dance with Argentine tango. The video is projected onto a screen 1,50m high by 2,50m wide, made out of elastic strands stretched over a wooden frame.

The imperceptible tiny movements of the elastic threads create a sparkling effect, a flucutation of senses, and our gaze loses its focus. The video enhances this effect by the fluctuation of its subject matter : water.
This makes the main character in the video appear mysterious. Who is this enigmatic being ? Is she a mermaid, hypnotically enticing the second character down, down, down to the bottomless depths ?
